INTERIORS

Make it yours

A cozy bedroom corner with a window covered by white curtains, a small wooden table with folded papers and a stuffed sheep on top, a large brown vase on the floor, and wall decorations including woven baskets and a tall green plant.

Finished, beautiful interiors evolve out of dreams, images, long lists, budget documents, and countless hours of communication and planning.  A designer on your team, as early as possible, advocates for the world that you want to live in - the way you want to move, what you want to see, how you want to feel.

Harlan & Hazel insists that transformation involves building trust and taking creative risks.  My skillset and energies pair well with individuals and families who are already engaged with a team of craftspeople - or are ready  to build that team together.

The spaces I create are warm, layered with color and texture, with an emphasis on antique and vintage furniture pieces.  We’ll develop customized furniture, choosing fabrics, color palettes and patterns. Always essential: quality, one of a kind window treatments, and framed art and decorative wall hangings.  My creative inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources, from the  cozy and color-filled British farmhouse to the clean and considered Scandinavian seaside home.  Always, regional influences find a tasteful way in - a braided rug, a Shaker clock, a landscape painting.

Projects utilize three dimensional rendering to provide a clear vision - a tool to refine ideas, and critical for generating the information our team of craftspeople will require.  Electrical plans, window and door schedules, and online platforms for sharing furniture and finish selections are examples of our design partnership in action.  My purpose is to curate both a beautiful finished space and a meaningful experience on the way to getting there.
